The world’s top two TV makers Samsung and LG Electronics revealed the world’s first curved OLED TV at the Consumer Electronics Show. Advantage of curved TV is that it shows us fixed distance between the viewer and the screen from anywhere. So it can reduce the fatigue of eyes.
It also make us enjoy a much more vivid images. This curved TV will be scheduled to release in the first half of year. Actually I took class about flexible display two years ago. Then I didn't know this curved TV really release. So I think curved TV will be commercialization this year and we can see a movie in the living room like IMAX instead of going to theater. Although it will be high prices compared with the price of the existing TV, I am really want to buy this curved TV immediately.
2. Sign of the revival of soccer.
North Korean soccer player Jong Tae-se joined a South Korean club Suwon. He moved from German second division FC Koln. Jong will become the fourth North Korean to play in the K League. 3. Cheer up Samsung!!
The $1 billion patent dispute between Apple and Samsung will continue. They litigated each other because of their design and special technologies of mobile device. Now Samsung was sentenced to give $ 1 billion to Apple. But persistingly, Apple is pushing to increase the amount of damages it was awarded by several hundred million dollars and Samsung is fighting to chip away at the enormous settlement amount or to have it thrown out.
I think Samsung will reduce their settlement amount and Apple will gradually become weak in.2013. Also Samsung's mobile will be gradually monopolization. Just my opinion. After Job died, it seems that Apple's reputation had been diminished. iPhone 5 is very popular but it is not what it used to be. That's the why. Therefore, Samsung will survive this crisis. Actually Samsung is our university's supporter so I always hope and pray that Samsung go well. Then I can have benefited from my university.
